Pacific War Game Organizer & Insert
PeckLabs Pacific War Organizer & Insert — GMT Games (2nd Edition)
There are game organizers, and then there are proper GAME ORGANIZERS. Our latest offering redefines what is possible in a game storage solution, with storage for The Pacific War 1941-1945 from GMT Games.
The monster title presents a storage challenge equal to its scale and scope. 2,624 counters in two sizes, compressed in a box with so many cards, boards, and player aids that excess space is nonexistent.
And critically, for this title…. everything needs to be extremely usable. Or else it's pointless to even create it. To tackle it, we reconsidered all of our design principles and went back to the drawing board.
DEDICATED LABELED STORAGE FOR UNITS
The scenario chosen is going to govern the units required. If it's a Guadalcanal scenario, no one wants to thumb through hundreds of late war aircraft units to find the proper tactical bomber or to find the Wasp.
We spent hours planning out the unit counts and mapping them all into properly fit bins.
DEDICATED NAVAL TRAY
Naval units get a dedicated tray, with separate compartments for carriers, cruisers, battleships, submarines, etc. Excess space is left to leave a 'card catalog' type viewing. Thumb through the stacks to find the proper naval units you need.
Every bin is labeled with the counter that belongs in it.
DEDICATED ARMY AND AIR UNIT TRAY
Army and air units are slightly smaller than naval counters, and there are a ton of them. They receive the same card catalog treatment… labeled across 49 bins, all appropriately sized for the number of counters they need to house.
This means US Navy L0 fighters get their own tray, as do Japanese L2 tactical bombers. Everything cleanly labeled and clearly identified, so you always know what belongs where.
SURPLUS STORAGE SPACE
This game stretches design to the limits. We've created a specially contoured box to hold hit counters, with thumb holes to lift it from its position next to the game maps.
Two thin 'slivers' are available to hold 150 counters in 30 bins, fitting in between the game manuals and the box, for special counters.
Bases and high-frequency status trackers get stored in two separate bins, also each with snapping lids.
VERTICAL SAFE
The main game trays all come with lids, locking them into place and making the game safe for vertical storage.
NO LID LIFT
Most importantly, we accomplished the main goal. All of the counters are stored logically and accessibly…. and they fit WITH all manuals, game boards, and all other materials with no lid lift.
The most thorough, most usable Pacific War organizer available. There are other, cheaper organizers, but they just aren't as good as this one.
